Thanks to the amazing Modo Yoga community, your participation in Karma classes isn’t just yoga – it’s directly fueling vital mental wellness initiatives right here at Victoria Hospital and across our community.

Victoria Hospital Foundation invests in initiatives supporting mental wellness, healing, and recovery for those facing mental health challenges. And the need is urgent: research shows that mental health care needs are high in Manitoba, 27.3% of Manitobans self-report having poor or fair mental health.

Since 2022, the Manitoba Blue Cross Mental Health Assessment Unit has supported over 2,100 individuals. The serene Will & Mavis Tishinski Tranquility Trail offers healing to over 1,200 inpatients annually.

We’ve invested in several upgrades, like a new pergola roof, an accessible pathway, and updated features to make Tranquility Trail even more accessible and functional. Thanks to our supporters, we created a welcoming new waiting room for Outpatient Mental Health Services. And every June, “Art in the Garden” provides a therapeutic outlet for outpatients of the hospital’s Mental Health Program and Artbeat Studio clients to experience the healing benefits of art in an outdoor garden.

Every breath, every pose in your Karma class creates a positive impact. Thank you for supporting Victoria Hospital Foundation and building a thriving community of care.
