Join us for Victoria Hospital Foundation’s upcoming Expert Webinar: Social Prescribing for Older Adults.
Kathy Henderson, Healthy Aging & Seniors Care Specialist, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority, will facilitate this FREE webinar.
Date: Wednesday, October 28, 2026 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
We’re excited to offer this FREE webinar as part of our Expert Series!
Social prescribing is a person-centered approach to healthcare that connects individuals with non-medical services and community resources to improve their health and well-being. Rather than relying solely on medication or clinical treatment, healthcare providers refer people to activities and support such as exercise programs, social groups, arts and cultural activities, financial or housing advice, volunteering opportunities, and mental health support.
This session will provide an overview of social prescribing, the referral process, and benefits for older adults in the Winnipeg Health Region.
*This webinar is open to the public. Information presented during the session will be publicly available, and webinar materials may be shared or recorded for public access.
