Heart disease is one of the biggest health threats that women face. However, research shows that physical activity, nutrition, and lifestyle choices can prevent roughly 80% of heart attacks.
Her Heart Her Way is an innovative women’s heart health prevention program made possible through a partnership between Victoria Hospital Foundation, Reh-Fit Centre, the Government of Manitoba, and Winnipeg Regional Health Authority through ACCESS Fort Garry.
This free 12-month virtual program pairs women who have an increased risk of heart disease with online mentors who support participants to make heart-healthy nutrition, exercise, and lifestyles choices to help reduce their risk. Her Heart Her Way is a program designed by women, for women. It is tailored to each woman’s individual needs and its virtual format helps to remove barriers to participation.
