Your Support Lights The Way

News

As we approach the end of a cold winter, I find myself feeling thankful for the warmth of our community. I am in awe of the kind and caring spirit I have found in supporters like you since joining the Victoria Hospital Foundation family last year.

Your support has helped to light the way forward as we continue to advance healthcare at Victoria Hospital and in our community. Thank you for helping to ensure the health and well-being of our families, friends, and neighbours when it’s needed the most.

Our healthcare workers and community continue to face the challenges of COVID-19 in the wake of the Omicron wave. While there are so many reasons to be hopeful, there is no question that the impact of the pandemic on our mental health will be felt for some time. As the need for mental health resources continues to grow, we are grateful to you for standing with us and for helping to create happier and healthier futures for the people in our community.

In this issue of Voice, you will read about how our recent investments in new research to support older adults living with mental illness and innovative feedback technology is helping to improve care. We also take a look back at the season of giving to see how your support helped brighten the holidays for local seniors and brought joy to deserving kids and families in our community.

Your ongoing support means so much. Thank you for being a constant source of light and inspiration through this dark winter as we look ahead to spring.

With gratitude,

Nicole Chammartin
