Supporting Research Excellence in Adult Mental Health and Care of Older Adults

Research Manitoba and Victoria Hospital Foundation are pleased to announce the recipients of the inaugural Victoria Hospital Foundation Research Grant Program. Two new grants, totaling $69,230, have been awarded to support research excellence in adult mental health and the care of older adults.

Project Title: Opportunities to promote treatment engagement among older adults referred to specialty mental health services

Victoria Hospital Foundation and Research Manitoba Program aims to fund interdisciplinary research with potential for significant impact based on scientific excellence, and relevance to adult and/or geriatric mental health, and the overall health and well-being of older adults within the Province of Manitoba.

The priority areas for the research include novel therapeutics, remote access and artificial intelligence, Indigenous health, improvements to quality of care, and/or improvements to geriatric care.
