Quality Care

We all want to know that high quality care is available for ourselves and our loved ones when needed. That's why Victoria Hospital Foundation is committed to enhancing quality of care by supporting programs and services that directly impact patient care. We know that in order to achieve the highest quality of care, we need to invest in solutions that understand and respond to the needs of patients and families. We need to be ready to change and adapt based on lessons learned to truly strengthen the quality of care available for our community. We are proud to invest in patient-centered approaches that are informed by a patient's unique needs, culture, and beliefs.

Our expert healthcare workers at Victoria Hospital and ACCESS Fort Garry, as well as our staff at Victoria Lifeline, play a key role in quality care. In order for them to deliver the highest quality of care, we need to make sure they are well supported and equipped with the tools needed to develop their skills and provide the highest standard of care. We want to continue to attract and retain the best and brightest healthcare professionals to care for our community. When we support the well-being of healthcare workers, we are fostering a compassionate environment where staff can thrive and are empowered to provide the highest quality of care.

Mental Health

The need for mental health services and resources at Victoria Hospital and across our community is growing. Approximately 1,500 adults seek mental healthcare at Victoria Hospital annually.

Victoria Hospital Foundation invests in programs and services to support the healing, recovery, and wellness of those living with mental health concerns in our community. We are proud to invest in initiatives like the Will & Mavis Tishinski Tranquility Trail, a new greenspace on the grounds of Victoria Hospital that is designed to support the mental wellness of our entire community and and facilitate outdoor programming for patients in Victoria Hospital's Mental Health program.

Patient Care

Quality care means putting the needs of individuals and families at the forefront of treatment. It is about providing respectful and dignified care that is customized to meet the unique needs of the individual to achieve the best result. Victoria Hospital Foundation is proud to invest in equipment, capital, and other needs to ensure individuals and families receive the best possible care where and when they need it.

Thanks to the support of our community, we invested in a Miracle Garden at Victoria Hospital designed to nurture mental, physical, and spiritual health. This award-winning environment offers a space for relaxation and rejuvenation for people of all ages and abilities. Learn more about Victoria Hospital's Miracle Garden.
